SGT Ltd Website

ETDC Digital Media rebuilt the website for SGT Ltd, a UK energy company, replacing a generic website-builder page with a professional Framer website built to explain its services and publish proof.

Project Snapshot

  • Client: SGT Ltd
  • Sector: Energy: bill reduction and solar supply
  • Service: Website design and development
  • Platform: Framer
  • Content system: Services CMS and Blog CMS

The Challenge

SGT helps households and businesses cut their energy bills and supplies solar power. It is a trust-heavy sale: people are wary of switching energy providers, and they want proof before they pick up the phone.

The old website did not give them that. It was a generic website-builder template with stock photography, thin content and a heavy sustainability message without the evidence to back it up. It also gave the team no easy way to add services, news or customer stories.

Our Approach

We designed for credibility first and kept the running costs low.

  1. Professional over sector cliché. Rather than a solar-themed template, we chose a clean, light, general business design with a simple, headline-led hero, so SGT reads as an established company rather than a green startup.
  2. A content system the team can run. Two CMS collections: Services, split by Domestic and Commercial, and Blog.
  3. Case studies without extra cost. Customer stories live inside the Blog CMS, with case-study fields simply left blank on news posts. That kept SGT on Framer’s Basic plan without losing a proof section.
  4. Proof over promises. The structure makes room for savings figures and real projects, replacing broad mission statements.

What We Delivered

  • Full website redesign and build in Framer
  • Services CMS with Domestic and Commercial categories, summaries, benefit statements and clear calls to action
  • Blog CMS covering company news, industry updates and customer case studies
  • Clean, light visual system with a simple, direct hero message
  • A setup that runs on Framer’s Basic plan, keeping ongoing costs down

The Result

SGT now has a website that looks like the credible energy partner it is. Domestic and commercial customers can find the right service quickly, and the team can publish news and customer stories without a developer.

Key Takeaway

In a sector built on trust, a website has to prove, not promise. A smart CMS structure gave SGT a home for real evidence while keeping the platform affordable to run.
