HCPCL marketing strategy

HCPCL are a premier cricket league who are filled with huge talent. They came to ETDC to try and find a sponsor, understanding that going to a sponsor with statistics can help their cause.

As a result, we implemented a video-first approach during the off-season, when reach and engagement for cricket content tended to dip, due to the season being over. However, our approach got consistent content out there and filled in the need for behind-the-scenes content for the viewers.


We noticed during the summer that posts about individuals performed well, rather than clips of teams. So, we analysed the data to come up with video interviews of each team captain, a combination of series interview style questions about the season, and a funny 'get-to-know' the team content.
